Partnerships

Pilbara TAFE has a long history of partnering with organizations in the region, as well as training providers from around Australia, to deliver programs to a variety of community and industry groups:

Academy of Applied Hypnosis (NSW) – partnering in the delivery of Clinical Hypnotherapy programs at a range of certificate levels from Cert IV to Diploma.

Ashburton CDEP – Partnering in the delivery of Workready programs at Tom Price, Roebourne, Nullagine and Onslow that prepare successful participants for employment in Rio Tinto operations in the Pilbara.

BHP Billiton – auspice through Pilbara TAFE to deliver technical competencies for Transport and Logistics in Port Operations, Rail and Laboratory Assistants.

Bilfinger Berger Services – partnering in the delivery of Front Line Management and Diploma of Management programs to staff in Hedland and Newman. In addition, Pilbara TAFE is partnering with Bilfinger Berger Services to deliver a range of general competencies required to work on mine sites in the Pilbara.

CITIC Pacific Mining – partnering in the delivery of Workready programs at Roebourne.

Curtin University – located on site at Karratha and South Hedland. Some Pilbara TAFE Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas provide students with advanced standing towards Curtin university degrees.

Fortescue Metals Group – partnering with Fortescue Metals Group’s (FMG) Vocational Training and Education Centre (VTEC) to create pathways for Aboriginal people to gain employment in the mining sector.

Global Gypsies - partnering in the delivery of tourism programs throughout the Pilbara.

Newcrest Mining – partnering in the delivery of Indigenous WorkReady programs delivered at Telfer Gold Mine.

Ngarda Civil and Mining – partnering in the delivery of pre-employment programs at the Piraraka Indigenous Mining Academy (PIMA) training facilities located at BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s Yarrie mine to prepare successful participants for employment in Ngarda and BHP Billiton operations in the Pilbara.

Rio Tinto – partnering in the delivery of Workready programs throughout the Pilbara.

SMYL / Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation – partnering in the delivery of Workready programs at Mt Welcome Station.

William Angliss Institute of TAFE –  a partnership focusing on the delivery of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts training programs to the Pilbara region.
